The Elevate Components were designed to meet the needs and preferences of the experienced listener while maintaining a design that can perform under tough acoustic conditions. These components will Elevate the mid and high range to keep up with multiple subwoofers sound systems that are heavy on the low end.
The TIGHTWEAVE© woven black Kevlar cone is treated with special resins to control the stiffness and a high grade compound to add damping and seal the fabric. The cone along with the half-roll Butyl rubber surround and NC3 spider allow for exceptional clarity and can deliver more fine detail.
The internal components are comprised of metalized polypropylene (1% tolerance) capacitors, air and iron core inductors, and a +3dB boost or a -3dB cut switch for the high frequencies. The Elevate Components use a PPTC circuit to provide constant tweeter protection.
This is where the Elevate Components are most unique in that you purchase the tweeters separately. This way you have the ability to fine tune the high frequencies to your listening preference. There are two different diaphragm materials to choose from, pure silk (S) and silk infused aluminum (A). Also, there are two different sizes, 20mm (.75″) for better fit in factory tweeter locations and a 25mm (1″) for custom fit locations with a wider frequency range.
